How did VAY come into being?

As with many other projects, VAY had a problem in the foreground that encouraged the search for a solution. The problem in question?
A community which does not exclude any interests.

April 2021 resulted in the end of “ATMO”, which was similar to VAY in its basic features, and the experience of working with cultural workers has strongly influenced its development.

With the completion of the previous project, we were able to devote freed-up resources to the design and development of VAY.

Parts of our founding members already have community experience since 2014 and our most experienced developer has been in his field since 2009.

In June 2021 the concept solidified and in November 2021 we opened the web portal. Official opening of the project will be on 04.12.2021 with an opening stream on Twitch.

What do the VAY bots do?

For our unique experience on the Discord server, we rely on a mix of selected premium and custom developed bots.

VAY Analytic collects status data and generates recommendations for users, giving us insight into the activity within the community. In this way, Analytic helps users manage their interests and helps us explore new areas of interest.

VAY Channler manages all voice channels and enables a faster overview on the server through active channel management. This saves us rows of empty voice channels and, by including user activity, we can also display information such as the game being played or the number of players required. The Channler bot grants premium users the possibility to create more private channels in a separate area and to invite users to them by command.

VAY Groupler is not developed by us and is based at its core on the Discortics bot from the developer of the same name. The bot verifies users and allows them to independently assign or deselect areas of interest directly on Discord. Furthermore, Groupler supports the moderation and if you are bored, the corresponding AI serves as a conversation partner.

Of course, the whole project cannot be managed alone and accordingly we have a strong team with various expertise that takes care of the management and ongoing development of VAY.GG.
