Rick and Morty: Is Warner Bros working on a video game?

Fans suspect that Warner Bros. is up to something big with Rick and Morty. The publisher has filed rights to use certain characters from the Rick and Morty universe in the past. Fans of the series speculate that this could be a video game adaptation.

Rick and Morty as a series itself has created hype in recent years and has become an absolute cult hit to boot. People were already building up hope back in 2016 with the mobile release Pocket Mortys that they could look forward to a video game adaptation. Through the actions of Warner Bros. one assumes that such a project could well be in planning.

According to a post by GameRant, the publisher is said to have recently filed for the rights to the characters Rick, Morty, Pickle Rick, and Mr. Meeseeks, under the use for “computer software” and “video game software.”

While eagerly awaiting an official announcement, the following is already certain: four extremely popular characters will be used for a video game in the future . How it will look like with the rest of the Sanchez family and the supporting characters of the Rick and Morty universe has not yet been announced.
