While some dismiss the announced first expansion for the Back 4 Blood game as merely “long overdue”, there are also some individuals who continue to look forward to the release. In this short article you will learn what to expect on April 12.
Via Twitter, the game’s publishers announced on March 1 that the game, released on October 12, 2021, will receive its first expansion. In addition to weapons, maps and skins, the DLC will also include three new mutations and two cleaners. The announced PvE gamemode “Ridden Hives” will probably be a nice gimmick again, but without affecting the main gameplay.
The three new mutations captivate in the truest sense of the word mainly by the conspicuous spines on the back, which presumably also have a function and should therefore be avoided. More details about the capabilities and behavior of the new mutations are not yet known.
The skins are protective suits in different colors for the existing cleaners. kinda sus looking…
There is also little information about the cleaners, but judging by their appearance, Sharice could be a firefighter who has melee skills around her axe, while Heng gives the impression that he can hold some equipment at the ready and possibly track down enemies or items. This is also merely speculation.
In terms of weapons, there is slight growth and a bunch of cosmetic customization options for cleaners and weapons all together. “15+ new maps” have also been announced, but there is – you guessed it – no information on that yet.
As soon as there is news about the DLC, we will update this post!
